Firmware Update (Edited)

Today a new Firmware update has been released for all current RG35XX models with H700 chip, with some bug fixes, and finally the long-awaited video player, capable of playing files in the following formats: wmv, avi, rmvb, flv, mp4, 3gp, asf, mov, mpg, mkv, etc.

We have not yet been able to test it, nor do we know how they will work, but as soon as we do some tests we will comment on it accordingly 😉
After trying some video files, I couldn’t be more satisfied!! In the old GarlicOs, we could only use .mkv with specifications such as 640×480 files, etc., but in the new video player of this latest firmware, that is no longer necessary!! I have tested episodes in .avi, .mp4, .mkv in various resolutions, the highest in 1080 and there have been no sound glitches or slowdowns or anything strange, all the video files have worked smoothly and without problems. Marvelous!!

If you want to download it, you can go through our Stock Firmware download section.

New RG28XX Site

Given the imminent launch of the new Anbernic console, the little sister of our RG35XX, we have created a portal for them, although since they have the same operating system or firmware, we will give full support here for them as well. However, we have already registered the domain rg28xx.com to redirect future users here. (Among those we will find ourselves)…

RG28XX, KNULLI and More news

In recent days we have learned about the new Anbernic console from the XX family, specifically the RG28XX about which we still do not know much about its characteristics, but as can be seen in its demonstration videos, it has the same chip as its sisters, the H700 and uses the same operating system as them, the so-called StockOs or Stock Firmware, and although the screen appears to be 2.8 inches instead of the 3.5 inches of current consoles, everything indicates that all content and firmware will work. that we have on the page. We are already waiting for ours to arrive… (Video at the end of the entry)

Acmeplus, the developer in charge of the Custom Firmware based on Batocera that has been brought to our consoles, has changed the name of the project, to differentiate it from Batocera directly, as it is a Fork, in which there are and will be some changes that differentiate it, and KNULLI has called it, of which we will continue to pay close attention to its news, and of which it already has its page in development, although still incomplete, but which you can now visit at knulli.org

We have also added 2 themes to download in our Themes for Batocera section that we left out: Alekfull-NX and Animatics-DX

RG28XX in Action:

Themes for Batocera

If your RG35XX does not have WIFI, you will hardly be able to download more themes for it, unless you download them from a page, like this one, and copy them to the card where you have Batocera installed. That is why we have created a new section, Themes for Batocera, in which we have added more than 50 themes that we have already tested and that we believe are “acceptable” to be able to see and use on the console. Many more work, but with graphic errors or with fonts so small that they make them difficult to read, so we have discarded them. Now available! May you enjoy them!

New Emulators Added!

With the recent update of the consoles a few days ago, we have a new option, the App Center, where we have a music player, an e-book reader, a file explorer and an Expert Mode.
Well, the developer of the latest Stock Firmware Mods, cbepx-me, has added 16 new emulators, which we can access from the Expert menu that we mentioned above.
It is necessary that you add the Roms to be able to use them obviously, and above all to be on the latest version of the Stock firmware, 20240401 for the Plus or New 2024 or 20240330 for the H.
The new emulators included are:
– Amiga
– Amstrad cpc
– Intellivision
-Odyssey
– PC98
– Satellaview
– SG1000
– SNESMSU1
– Sufami
– SupergraFX
– TG16
– TG16 CD
– Vectrex
– X68000
– XZ81
-XZ Spectrum

New Firmware Updates

In these last days of March and first of April, Anbernic has brought us new updates to the Stock Firmware that works better and better and with more options…
These Updates are compatible with the 3 versions of RG35XX that use the H700 Chip, that is, The Plus, the H and the New 2024.
They have finally listened to us, or read, what we have asked of them publicly and privately: 32X Emulator, Scummvm Emulator, and a Music player! (In the absence of the video player, which we hope we can see in a next update), and they have also provided us with a way so that the most experts can try to install new emulators or applications.
The only drawback we can make right now is that we need to update our custom themes as there are new icons and images in the Firmware, but we will update them little by little…

And as if it were a worker from Anbernic itself, the same day the new firmwares come out, cbepx-me updates its modified versions adding new functionalities and compatibilities. Their versions of Stock MOD 1.5 for Plus, H and 2024 are now available to update or install from scratch!

All of these updates are now available from our Stock Firmware section.

Koriki Beta Ed Torres for RG35XX + , H & New 2024

About a month ago we announced an image of Koriki/Batocera that ED Torres had prepared for our consoles, loaded with Roms, Themes, Overlays, configured to the maximum so that everything worked perfectly. Designed for a 128GB card and you can later change the ROMs if you feel like it.
Since that day we began to make a mirror to leave it on Archive.org available to more people, and between the little time I have and how slow it is sometimes to upload large files, it has taken a long time, to the point that it has been updated, and therefore, before publishing it here, we have taken care of updating it as well.
The image is of a 16GB card, you can expand the SHARE partition to the maximum of your card and adding the ROMS there. (It already has some included)
Some very heavy systems have been split into several files, but then they go in the same folder, and you can unzip them separately or when you have downloaded them all.
We leave you the direct link here, and we will also add it to our Roms section. Enjoy it!!
(NOTE: It is not valid for the Original RG35XX of 2023, you have its corresponding version at RG35XX.COM)

New RG35XX SP?

A new leak, or perhaps a new way to show us what is going to come and make us grow the “hype”, the desire to want to buy something, and with the imminent release of the new Miyoo Mini Flip, Anbernic already has its version of the RG35XX with a shell shape, in the purest GameBoy Advance SP style, which does not surprise us that its final name was RG35XX SP.
In the following video that several pages dedicated to retro consoles have already published, it shows us in a few seconds how the console has the latest operating system of the RG35XX family and when we close it we see how a logo on the lid goes off, and They put a Nintendo GBA SP next to them, showing us that their size is almost identical.
